Alexandria, VA • Ground Up Build-to-Suit Campus
5 Buildings • 15 Acres • 2.5M SF • 3,575 Parking Spaces
2 Year Phased Occupancy Completed 2005
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, located in Alexandria, VA, just outside of Washington, DC, marks the largest lease ever signed by the General Services Administration and is the fourth largest federal complex in the country. After a four-year procurement, we were selected in 2000 through an evaluation process to develop, finance and now continue to manage this five-building, 2.5 million-square-foot, technically advanced and efficient complex.
Occupied by over 9,000 employees dedicated to managing the nation’s intellectual property, the campus is spread over 15 acres and includes 3,575 parking spaces, a library, two data conference centers, cafeterias, a credit union and other employee amenities. The campus also offers convenient access to the King Street and Eisenhower Avenue Metrorail stations. After five years in development and construction, a two-year phased occupancy culminated in 2005. The development received many awards including the GSA’s Institutional Award of Merit. LCOR continues to direct property and construction management services for the property.
