Sales at LCOR’s Charleston in New York City Top 70%
  • High Demand for High-Rise Living at Charleston and Chelsea Stratus

NEW YORK (September 1, 2007) — LCOR Senior Vice President David Sigman announced that 70% of The Charleston residences have been sold at the 22-story high-rise condominium located at 225 East 34th Street, where occupancy is immediate with the building opening this summer.

Sigman also said that Chelsea Stratus, LCOR's 40-story high-rise condominium at 101 West 24th Street, has sold 60% of its luxury residences in less than 90 days. The two ground-up developments are LCOR's first residential projects in New York City.

According to Sigman, "The Charleston and Chelsea Stratus are selling extremely well. They offer exactly what so many buyers are looking for: stylish, high-rise living in a dynamic Manhattan neighborhood.

"Whether attracted to the East Side's Murray Hill or the West Side's Chelsea neighborhood, buyers are drawn to the sophisticated design, generous amenities, spectacular views, superb residential features and luxury appointments offered in both buildings. The added attraction of many residences having balconies or outdoor terraces has contributed to the winning formula for successful sales."

At The Charleston, LCOR's first Manhattan residential development, studio, one, two and three-bedroom homes feature floor-to-ceiling windows and open interior space with 9'-10'4" high ceilings.

Many one-bedroom residences include a separate home office, a highly regarded and in-demand feature of modern residential design.

LCOR's second Manhattan condominium project, Chelsea Stratus, has experienced incredible market response in its short time on the market. Chelsea's first full-service, high-rise luxury condominium, Chelsea Stratus is also the area's tallest residence at 40 stories and features luxurious one, two and three-bedroom homes where every finish, detail and layout are high-end and the spacious residences range from studios to grandly proportioned three-bedroom penthouses with ceilings from 9'6" to a soaring 11'7".

Andrew Gerringer, Managing Director, Prudential Douglas Elliman Developments, remarked, "High-rise living is a major draw in today's market. People want the glamour of the Manhattan skyline and the drama of the Hudson or East River views along with elegant design and superb resident amenities. With The Charleston and Chelsea Stratus located in highly desirable residential neighborhoods, they offer all that and more."

Adds Prudential Douglas Elliman Development's Karen Mansour, "At The Charleston and Chelsea Stratus, LCOR presents two sophisticated styles of high-rise living that have captured buyers’ attention. Both present exceptional homeownership opportunities that people are responding to."
