BETHESDA, Md. (March 19, 2007) — The Washington, D.C. regional office of LCOR announced today that the company was selected to manage Carlyle Center, a five-story, 170,000 square foot office and retail building in the Carlyle area of Alexandria, Va. The property, 1925 Ballenger Avenue, is at the intersection of Ballenger and Jamieson Avenues. Carlyle Center is owned by Carlyle-Lane-CFRI Venture II, LLC, a joint venture of Lane Development, LLC and Commonfund Realty.

1925 Ballenger is a new building sited at the epicenter of commercial activity in Alexandria. It offers one of the largest blocks of Class A commercial space in the area, with 100,000 square feet of office space and 70,000 square feet of street-retail space. Additionally, there are four levels of below-grade parking for tenants and guests. The building is a short walk from both the King Street and Eisenhower Avenue Metrorail subway stations, directly accessible to Interstate 495, convenient to the Ronald Reagan Airport, and minutes from downtown Washington, D.C.

LCOR is responsible for building engineering, maintenance, budgeting and capital improvements for 1925 Ballenger. LCOR’s total property management portfolio in the Washington, D.C. region exceeds three million square feet.

LCOR has a 35-year presence in the Washington area. The company, which specializes in mixed-use, multifamily and office properties, has developed half a dozen multifamily projects in the Washington, D.C. area, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office headquarters campus in Alexandria.
